Nanya is the northern gateway to the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area. From here on, you’ll no longer see chimneys everywhere or buildings surrounding you. What you will find are rising mountain peaks, large expanses of ocean, unique erosion landforms formed by the interaction of mountain and water, and finally, serene fishing villages and simple towns.

Nanya is known for its unique rock formations. If you drive too quickly, you may easily miss this beautiful location, because it has been untouched by the labels of mankind; however, you will be able to recognize your location through the large rock formation lying by the Coastal Highway, eroded by time into the shape of an ice cream cone. Tourists should prepare to slow down at this point and lose themselves among the windy birthplace of beautiful rock formations.
